Qualifying for Energy Credits in Macon, Perry, Warner Robins, & Beyond
One of the many benefits to making energy efficient improvements to your home is that you may qualify for up to $2200 in energy credits from Georgia Power. At AWT Vinyl, the only Georgia Power Approved Contractor in Macon, Perry, Warner Robins and throughout Central Georgia, our experienced energy efficiency professionals can help homeowners identify ways to reduce their carbon footprint, limit energy usage, and save significant money on utility bills.
Georgia Power currently has a statewide energy improvement program that is intended to incentivize homeowners into making meaningful improvements in their overall energy efficiency to their residences. Generally speaking, the program can be divided into two types: the “Whole-House” approach or individual improvements.
With the Whole-House home energy audit, an approved contractor from AWT Vinyl will carefully assess the home and use diagnostic tools to identify areas in which energy efficiency can be improved. Once the inspection is completed, the homeowner receives a specific list of recommended upgrades and improvements. Then, after the improvements are made, a follow-up inspection is performed and, depending on the overall reduction in home energy use, the homeowner may qualify for an energy efficiency rebate from Georgia Power.
The individual improvements program, on the other hand, also has available energy tax credits for the installation of various energy efficient products, ranging from air sealing and attic insulation to installing a solar water heater or replacing the central air conditioning unit. In some cases, these individual improvements can be made by the homeowner, while others must be completed by a program-participating contractor.
At AWT Vinyl, we’re well-versed on improving energy efficiency and are standing by to help any homeowner maximize their energy efficiency and ensure they qualify for the maximum energy credits from Georgia Power. Whether you’re looking to save money on your monthly electric bill, are concerned with reducing your carbon footprint, or you just want to be able to regulate the temperature in your home more consistently, we can help.
